Differentials Spotlight — After GW3
By DUBYA · 7 Sept 2026
Three gameweeks in, ownership percentages are starting to properly separate from the players actually delivering the points — and the gap between the two right now is the loudest it's been all season.
Top of the pile: Tzolakis, Hull's goalkeeper, sat on just 8.9% ownership with 26 points and a form rating of 8.7. For a goalkeeper at a promoted club, that's an outrageous season so far, and it's not a one-off either — Hull's whole defence is quietly the story of the early season. Mendy (6.6% owned, 24 points) and Egan (6.1% owned, 23 points) are both delivering the same profile: cheap, defensively excellent, and still mostly ignored.
Leeds are having a similar moment further forward, and further under the radar. Bogle is on just 1.2% ownership with 22 points, and midfielder Stach (2.9% owned, 19 points) is putting in real defensive AND attacking shifts every week for a side most people wrote off before a ball was kicked.
Bournemouth's pair are worth flagging too: Scott (3.7% owned, 24 points, form 8.0) and Tavernier (3.0% owned, 21 points) are both quietly having excellent seasons at a club nobody's talking about. And at the bargain end, Janelt at Brentford (1.3% owned, 21 points, £5.0m) and King at Fulham (1.0% owned, 19 points) round out a list that's genuinely full of value most squads are missing.
Even at the bigger clubs there's value hiding in plain sight — White at Arsenal (7.7% owned, 20 points) is attached to the division's best defence and still isn't a top-10%-owned pick, which given Arsenal's form through three games looks like an oversight the rest of the FPL world will correct soon enough.
The pattern here isn't subtle: promoted and mid-table sides are quietly outperforming their reputation, and the ownership numbers haven't caught up. That's exactly the gap our differentials tool is built to close — real, current data, not last season's reputation. Worth a proper look before the rest of your mini-league clocks on.
Right, that's the early-season landscape covered — GW4 preview coming before the deadline.
