GW2 Review

Right, GW2 done and dusted and my word did some of these teams have something to say for themselves.

Bruno Fernandes. BRUNO FERNANDES. After Hull City did the unthinkable in GW1 (2-0 away win over Man Utd, still can't quite believe I typed that), United came out and put five past Ipswich at Old Trafford, and Bruno personally decided he wasn't going to be part of another slow start — hat-trick plus an assist, 23 points, an absolute season-defining haul if you had the armband on him. If you didn't... well, that's FPL for you, isn't it. The lesson every single year is that captaincy is a coin flip dressed up as a science, and this week Bruno owners are feeling like geniuses while the rest of us are quietly recalculating.

Man City weren't far behind either — away at Crystal Palace and absolutely business-like about it, 4-1, Haaland with a brace (obviously) and Cherki chipping in with two of his own. If you're still on the fence about squeezing Cherki into your midfield, that's two returns from what you will.

Spoiler for the neutrals: Arsenal are quietlt home to Coventry in GW1, then a tidy 1-0away at Villa this week — two wins, two clean sheets, not a huge amount of fuss being made about it, which is usually when you should be paying MORE attention, no

Not everyone's had it easy. Spurs have now lbeaten 3-0 by Brentford in GW1 and then 2-0at home to Newcastle this week (Hall and Dedić among the scorers, Newcastle's defence looking properly switched on early doors). Two games in and it's already you're a Spurs fan, sorry lads.

Elsewhere Chelsea were involved in an absoluon, with Groß somehow still finding a goaland an assist in a losing effort for the Seagulls — that's back-to-back returns for him after a big shift in the GW1 demolition of Villa, worth keeping an eye onld goals. Liverpool were held 2-2 at home bya Forest side who look nowhere near as toothless as some predicted (Gibbs-White getting involved again), and Hull kept their unlikely good form going with a 1-0 wime Hull who took Man United apart inGameweek 1. Somebody buy the goalkeeper Tzolakis a pint, that's two clean-sheet-driven double-digit hauls in two weeks off the back of a promoted side.

Two gameweeks in, this is already shaping up of a season. Whatever you do, don'tpanic-transfer off the back of one bad week — go check the predicted lineups and transfer picks tools before you do anything rash, that's what we built them for
