It's a dead simple concept — whoever scores the most points across the gameweeks that fall in a calendar month wins that month, nothing to do with your overall league position — but it throws up genuinely different winners to the main table, and one of our tracked leagues is a perfect example of why it's worth checking.

Early in August, one manager was sat top of the pile off the back of a big GW1 alone. By the time GW2's numbers were fully in, though, the whole picture flipped — a 197-point two-gameweek total from a completely different manager snuck through to actually win the month, edging out the GW1 pace-setter by just 6 points once both gameweeks were properly counted.
